Dr. Ahmed Abdi Adam, Deputy Head of the Agency, along with representatives from the Prime Minister&#8217;s Office and officials from federal ministries and government entities concerned with disaster management, humanitarian action, and strategic crisis planning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Discussions focused on mechanisms for developing an early warning system and enhancing monitoring and analysis capabilities to address natural and humanitarian disasters. The objective is to minimize loss of life and property and to ensure the speed and effectiveness of field interventions whenever urgent government action is required in the face of emergencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants also addressed the importance of unifying national databases and coordinating operational plans across all relevant institutions to improve coordination efficiency, avoid duplication of roles, and ensure integrated efforts across various sectors, thereby achieving a more comprehensive and impactful humanitarian response.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, H.E. the Deputy Head of the Agency emphasized the need to consolidate close cooperation between state institutions and humanitarian partners. He stressed the importance of building an integrated national risk management system capable of handling escalating climate and humanitarian challenges with high efficiency in accordance with good governance standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the importance of maintaining these periodic sessions and intensifying joint work. This contributes to modernizing the national disaster management system, supporting efforts to protect lives and property, and strengthening societal resilience in the face of the successive crises facing the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The monthly meetings of the Somali Disaster Management Agency represent a cornerstone of the state&#8217;s strategy to enhance institutional coordination against crises.
