MOGADISHU —<\/strong> \u200bIn a national gesture reflecting the highest values of social solidarity, the Federal Republic of Somalia observed World Blood Donor Day this Sunday. The event was held at the National Blood Bank Center in Mogadishu, featuring the participation of senior government officials, health sector leaders, and prominent civil society representatives.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Maryam Mohamed Hussein, Minister of State for Health and Acting Minister of Health, alongside Dr. Abdifatah Qasim Mohamud, Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism. The presence of parliamentarians and key medical personnel underscored the national priority placed on strengthening the country\u2019s health services.<\/p>\n

Participants emphasized the vital importance of fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation as an ethical responsibility to ensure sustainable medical supplies.
