\u200bNAIROBI —<\/strong> As part of its strategic efforts to develop national infrastructure, the Somali Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing convened a high-level meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, to explore avenues for strengthening international cooperation on sustainable housing projects.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe Somali delegation was led by the State Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mr. Said Mohamed Mahmoud (Xayd), with the participation of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Kenya, Mr. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, in an effort to align visions on urban development and real estate planning.<\/p>\n

The meeting witnessed a high-caliber presence of representatives from UN-Habitat and ADHI AFRICA HOLDING LTD, aiming to build bridges of cooperation between the public sector, private investors, and international organizations to serve Somalia\u2019s developmental goals.<\/p>\n

Discussions centered on developing innovative and durable housing solutions, specifically designed to meet the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and low-income households, who remain among the most affected by displacement and rapid urban expansion.<\/p>\n

Both parties reviewed practical mechanisms to accelerate urban and rural development, with a focused emphasis on improving infrastructure systems and adopting comprehensive planning frameworks that ensure equitable access to safe and dignified housing for all segments of society.<\/p>\n
