ROME —<\/strong> Somalia has enhanced the horizons of her cooperation in the health sector, following the official visit conducted by the administration of “Forlanini” Hospital in Mogadishu to its counterpart in the Italian capital, Rome, embodying her approach to building bridges of international partnership and exchanging advanced medical expertise.<\/p>\n

The Director General of Forlanini Hospital in Mogadishu held an extensive meeting with the senior management of the hospital in Rome, during which the two sides discussed ways to elevate the quality of health services in Somalia, and develop the efficiency of medical performance, ensuring the sustainability of patient care and strengthening her health institutions.<\/p>\n

The visit included a field tour within the corridors of the Italian hospital, during which the Somali hospital administration examined the advanced specialized departments, established work mechanisms, modern medical technologies, as well as the sophisticated administrative systems employed by the institution to provide its services with high efficiency.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Somali side reviewed the nature of the medical services the hospital provides in the capital, Mogadishu, highlighting the current challenges Somalia faces in her health sector, particularly in the areas of modernizing infrastructure, providing specialized medical equipment, and training human cadres.<\/p>\n

The Director General emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening this cooperation with the Italian side, noting that this partnership will form a fundamental tributary for raising the capabilities of Somali medical cadres, which will reflect positively on improving the level of services provided to citizens throughout Somalia.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the visit, the hospital administration in Mogadishu extended an official invitation to its counterpart in Rome to support health development efforts in the Somali capital, and to work towards establishing a formal institutional partnership and twinning, allowing for the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint training programs that raise medical performance levels.<\/p>\n

This visit comes within the relentless efforts Somalia is making to expand her network of international partnerships, and to benefit from leading European experiences in modernizing her health infrastructure and improving the level of her medical services to enhance societal resilience and meet her aspirations for living in a healthy environment.<\/p>\n
