\u200bMOGADISHU —<\/strong> Embodying qualitative humanitarian initiatives that serve as a vital lifeline for restoring health systems in underserved areas, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that medical projects supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) in Mogadishu recorded high performance rates last February, providing integrated care to hundreds of beneficiaries and alleviating human suffering.<\/p>\n

SPA cited statistical reports stating that the Dialysis Center at “Banadir” Hospital continued its critical services to (350) patients, with (165) individuals benefiting from (1,057) scheduled dialysis sessions, in addition to (11) emergency life-saving sessions, reflecting the center’s high operational efficiency in combating chronic diseases.<\/p>\n

\u200bIn a related context, (177) patients received clinical examinations and precise laboratory tests at the center’s nephrology clinic, with data showing that males accounted for (61%) and females (39%), underscoring the inclusivity of medical care provided to all segments of society without exception.<\/p>\n

\u200bReports from the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) indicated that the beneficiaries included residents (97%), internally displaced persons (2%), and refugees (1%), highlighting the center’s pivotal role in meeting the needs of the most vulnerable groups and ensuring a safe treatment environment.<\/p>\n

Regarding the enhancement of the national blood stock, the National Blood Bank in Mogadishu provided its services to (203) beneficiaries during the same period, achieving a swift medical response to blood transfusion requests and supporting surgeries and emergency cases in the capital’s hospitals to ensure the continuity of essential health services.<\/p>\n

According to official data, the percentage of male beneficiaries of the blood bank reached (58%) and females (42%), while displaced persons accounted for (4%) and residents (96%), further strengthening health response efficiency and the capacity of national institutions to handle medical challenges with ongoing support from the center.<\/p>\n

These medical interventions are part of a package of relief projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, “KSrelief,” aimed at boosting the efficiency of the Somali health sector and ensuring the sustainability of care, thereby easing the financial and physical burden on patients.<\/p>\n

The continuity of this support reflects an international commitment to humanitarian solidarity and a keenness to empower Somali health institutions to play their pivotal role by providing medical supplies, qualified personnel, and the continuous operation of vital specialized centers serving a broad sector of citizens.<\/p>\n

The success of these projects in reaching hundreds of patients monthly serves as a clear indicator of the effective coordination between international relief agencies and local health authorities, ensuring that medical aid and treatment services reach their intended recipients across the Federal Republic.<\/p>\n
