\u200bThe humanitarian initiative launched by “Hormuud Salaam” targets stricken families in the central and southern regions of Somalia, where extended drought waves have undermined livelihoods and depleted water resources, leaving thousands of families facing grave difficulties in securing food and safe drinking water.<\/p>\n

The foundation confirmed that the drought has cast a dark shadow over rural communities, causing wells to dry up and the loss of significant numbers of livestock\u2014the population’s economic backbone.
