\u200bThe capital, Mogadishu, hosted yesterday, Thursday, a high-level specialized symposium organized by the Federal Ministry of Health to mark International Glaucoma Awareness Day, locally known as “Biyaha Indhaha,” as reported by the Somali National News Agency (SONNA).<\/p>\n

The symposium aimed to accelerate national awareness regarding the risks of this condition, which targets the optic nerve gradually and deceptively. It remains a leading cause of irreversible blindness in the region if early diagnosis is neglected.<\/p>\n
