RIYADH —<\/strong> According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has signed a joint executive program to rehabilitate orphanages and empower their families economically in the Federal Republic of Somalia.<\/p>\n

\u200bEng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs, represented the Centre during the signing ceremony held via video conference, in partnership with a leading civil society organization.<\/p>\n

The program aims to enhance the living conditions of 905 orphans across key facilities, including the Omar bin Khattab Center in Baidoa, the Aisha Mother of the Believers Center in Banadir, and centers in Afgooye and Galguduud.<\/p>\n

The agreement entails the comprehensive rehabilitation and equipping of these centers to ensure a safe and stimulating educational and upbringing environment for orphaned children in affected areas.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the program will provide direct essential needs for the orphans, encompassing seasonal clothing, integrated educational kits, and the provision of daily healthy nutritional meals.<\/p>\n

\u200bIn a prominent developmental dimension, the project focuses on economic empowerment by providing specialized vocational training in sewing for 200 mothers of orphans, fostering self-reliance.<\/p>\n

To ensure project sustainability, KSrelief will distribute sewing tools and accessories to the trained mothers, facilitating their entry into the labor market or the launch of their own home-based businesses.<\/p>\n

The program is expected to directly benefit 1,105 individuals, while the positive impact will extend to approximately 6,630 indirect beneficiaries across various Somali regions.<\/p>\n

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering humanitarian role, through its humanitarian arm, to provide comprehensive care for orphans worldwide and alleviate their suffering.<\/p>\n

This collaboration embodies the continuous Saudi commitment to supporting the stability of Somali society through qualitative projects that blend urgent relief with long-term developmental solutions.<\/p>\n
