MOGADISHU —<\/strong> Under sovereign auspices reflecting the state\u2019s will for recovery, H.E. Farah Sheikh AbdulKadir, Minister of Education and Higher Education, inaugurated the fourth day of the 3rd National Education Conference in Mogadishu today, opening new horizons for knowledge in recovered regions.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe Minister announced the successful extension of educational services to areas liberated from extremism, emphasizing that the arrival of the national educational system represents the surest guarantee for stabilizing society and fortifying it against deviant ideologies.<\/p>\n

He explained that the Ministry\u2019s strategy goes beyond opening schools to reshaping collective consciousness through national curricula that unify identity and instill citizenship, viewing education as the “soft power” most capable of ending conflict and building peace.<\/p>\n

H.E. Abdulkadir affirmed that the “decentralization of education” has moved into field implementation, as the Federal Government remains committed to empowering states administratively to ensure educational services flow equitably from the center to all regions.<\/p>\n

In strengthening institutional structures, the Minister revealed the completion of sovereign headquarters for the Ministries of Education in Jubaland and Hirshabelle, a strategic step aimed at institutionalizing educational work and enhancing government performance in regional states.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he announced the upcoming construction of the Ministry of Education headquarters in Puntland, completing the unified administrative ring that links all Somali federal states under a single educational vision serving the nation\u2019s major development goals.<\/p>\n

With confidence, the Minister noted that transforming “conflict zones” into “knowledge hubs” is the most eloquent response to security challenges, asserting that the Ministry is dedicating all resources to ensure continuity and develop school environments in liberated areas.<\/p>\n

Conference participants praised the qualitative shift in unifying textbooks and teacher training, noting that the state\u2019s success in delivering education to recovered areas redraws the map of hope for future generations and bolsters official institutional prestige.<\/p>\n

The Minister called upon the international community and development partners to maximize investment in the “educational dividend” of these regions, asserting that supporting educational infrastructure is a direct investment in regional and international security.<\/p>\n

H.E. Abdulkadir concluded by stressing that the “pen” will remain the impenetrable fortress of Somalia\u2019s sovereignty, pledging to continue efforts until education becomes a guaranteed right for every Somali child, regardless of distance or security challenges.<\/p>\n
