\u200bMOGADISHU — <\/strong>The Somali President, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, issued a presidential decree appointing a group of prominent academic figures as Vice Chancellors of the Somali National University(SNU), as reported by the Somali National News Agency (SONNA).<\/p>\n

\u200bThe appointments included Prof. Dr. Abdirisaq Abdullahi Hashi as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Ms. Deeqa Mohamed Qalib as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, aimed at strengthening the university\u2019s administrative structure, according to SONNA.<\/p>\n

The decree also designated Prof. Dr. Abdullahi Sheikh Rashid as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Community Engagement, and Dr. Ali Awil Ahmed as Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, as noted by the Somali National News Agency.<\/p>\n
