The meeting aimed to establish the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership focused on developing an effective national system to address humanitarian and environmental disasters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SoDMA&#8217;s Chairman, Mohamud Moallim Abdulle, hosted a high-level delegation from the Swedish organization, led by Ms. Josephine Sundqvist, at the agency&#8217;s headquarters in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting explored future avenues of collaboration, with Abdulle providing a comprehensive overview of SoDMA&#8217;s ambitious goals and plans to establish an integrated crisis response system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For her part, Ms. Sundqvist affirmed LM International&#8217;s commitment to providing technical and logistical support to Somalia&#8217;s efforts, highlighting the organization\u2019s extensive experience in humanitarian and development work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both sides expressed optimism that this partnership will be a turning point toward building a more resilient and capable Somali society in the face of future challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a culmination of these discussions, the two parties agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will serve as a roadmap outlining the cooperation frameworks in vital areas such as disaster preparedness, immediate response, and strengthening local capacities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The MoU is scheduled to be signed at a later date, opening new horizons for joint cooperation between the two sides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MOGADISHU &#8212; In a targeted strategic move to enhance Somalia&#8217;s disaster management capabilities, the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) held a productive inaugural meeting with the Swedish organization, LM International.
