The session gathered senior officials and technical teams to review progress on logistical arrangements, stakeholder engagement, and the development of the conference agenda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The upcoming conference will bring together a broad spectrum of participants, including government institutions, humanitarian organizations, international partners, climate experts, and community leaders, under the central theme of strengthening Somalia\u2019s resilience to natural and man-made disasters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chairman Abdulle emphasized the importance of building on the momentum from the inaugural 2023 conference, which laid the foundation for a unified national framework for disaster risk reduction (DRR).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are committed to ensuring this conference will not only reflect our collective achievements, but also shape the path forward in building a resilient Somalia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He noted that the October event will serve as a vital platform to assess progress made, exchange innovations in disaster preparedness and response, and galvanize stronger partnerships for climate adaptation and community resilience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Somalia continues to rank among the world\u2019s most climate-vulnerable nations, frequently impacted by droughts, floods, and conflict-induced displacement.
