GAROWE — <\/span><\/strong>More than 23,700 secondary school students in Somalia\u2019s semi-autonomous Puntland region are sitting for their final national examinations beginning Saturday<\/span>, in what education<\/span>\u00a0officials describe as a critical moment in the region\u2019s ongoing push to reform and modernize its education system.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

According to the Puntland Ministry of Education, exams are being conducted in 150 examination\u00a0<\/span>centers<\/span>\u00a0across 30 districts, making this one of the most logistically complex education events in Puntland\u2019s recent history.\u00a0<\/span>The participants include Grade 12 students from\u00a0<\/span>both<\/span>\u00a0public and private schools\u00a0<\/span>in Puntland<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The Ministry of Education has deployed invigilators, security personnel, and administrative staff to ensure the integrity of the exam process.<\/span><\/p>\n
