Among the victims were members of the same family, including an elderly woman and her granddaughter, who were killed when their dilapidated house crumbled under the pressure of floodwaters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The downpour also devastated displacement camps, where many residents live in makeshift shelters made of sticks and plastic sheets. Floodwaters destroyed what little food and supplies the families had, compounding already dire humanitarian conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Residents and local leaders have voiced frustration over what they say is a lack of preparedness by authorities.
