{"id":1644,"date":"2018-07-19T06:33:04","date_gmt":"2018-07-19T06:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=1644"},"modified":"2018-07-22T05:47:37","modified_gmt":"2018-07-22T05:47:37","slug":"kuwait-to-host-donors-conference-to-support-somalias-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2018\/07\/19\/kuwait-to-host-donors-conference-to-support-somalias-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Kuwait to host donor&#8217;s conference to support Somalia\u2019s education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BRUSSELS (SOHA) &#8211;<\/strong> Ambassador of Kuwait to the European Union, NATO, Belgium and Luxembourg, Jasem Al- Budaiwi, has announced that Kuwait is to host a Donors Conference in Support of Education in Somalia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We, in Kuwait, firmly believe that education is one of the most important, if not the most important tool, in combating extremism, terrorism, and poverty,&#8221; he said speaking in a Forum on Somalia Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This conference in Kuwait, will serve as a cornerstone to secure the future generations of Somalia, and we call upon the international community, to join our efforts and actively participate in it. Once you educate a child, you educate a generation,&#8221; said Kuwait&#8217;s top diplomat in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al-Budaiwi noted that this Forum is an &#8220;excellent opportunity for the international community to renew its commitment to supporting Somalia&#8217;s stability and development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8221; &#8220;Together, my friends, we will continue the efforts of the United Nations in supporting Somalia&#8217;s transitional phase in every aspect.
