By integrating climate education into our schools and communities, we are empowering our people\u2014especially our youth\u2014with the knowledge and skills to build a more resilient and sustainable Somalia. This initiative is not just about education; it is about securing our future.\u201d \u2013 Abdisalan Abdi Ali, Second Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking during the event, IGAD CAEP Director, Ambassador Gamal Hassan noted that for stakeholders to sustainably address the impacts of climate change on education there requires comprehensive policies that integrate climate resilience into educational systems, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn in a stable and supportive environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that collaborative efforts among governments, development partners, the donor community, NGOs, the private sector, and communities are essential to build resilience against the adverse effects of climate change on education.
