This move marks a significant effort to address the immediate needs of the communities suffering from the drought\u2019s harsh impact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mohamud Moalim Abdulle, the head of SoDMA, called on Somalis nationwide to rally in support of the drought-affected areas. \u201cThis is a time for unity, for our people to come together and extend help to our brothers and sisters in need,\u201d Abdulle said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also expressed his gratitude towards the Chinese government, acknowledging their generous contributions to Somalia\u2019s drought relief operations. \u201cWe are very thankful for the support from China, which has been instrumental in our fight against this humanitarian crisis,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The drought, one of the worst in recent years, has led to acute shortages of water, food, and pasture, exacerbating the already fragile situation in the region known for its pastoralist communities.
