{"id":1514,"date":"2018-07-07T22:17:47","date_gmt":"2018-07-07T22:17:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=1514"},"modified":"2018-07-12T05:50:57","modified_gmt":"2018-07-12T05:50:57","slug":"85-students-graduate-from-zus-faculty-of-agriculture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2018\/07\/07\/85-students-graduate-from-zus-faculty-of-agriculture\/","title":{"rendered":"85 Students graduate from ZU&#8217;s faculty of agriculture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOGADISHU (SOHA) &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>85 Students, who successfully completed four years study of Agriculture, has on Saturday graduated from Zamzam University of Science and Technology in Mogadishu, SONNA reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy President of Zamzam University, Da\u2019ud Mohamed Makaran said that the students are batches from the same department who completed their studies in 2017 and 2018.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201d Zamzam is new and modern university aiming to produce Somali students equipped with tangible knowledge, we started it with the faculty of Agriculture, then Medicine and Engineering, the students get proper practices relating to their field of study\u201d, Mr. Makaran said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Makaran added that 8 students from the graduates got scholarships from Turkey right now, in order, they might continue their learning, adding the graduates would find jobs from the market as Somalia is rich in farming land.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201d On behalf of the students leaving, I am thanking to the Administration and lecturers of Zamzam University for teaching us such important education, we got practice from experts from both national and foreign during our course, we hope to contribute our knowledge to our country\u201d, Abdirahman Mohamed Gele, one of the students said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hussein Oruc, President of Zamzam University recounted how such faculty of Agriculture is very useful for Somalia, taking an example of a garden of fruits at Turkey run IDPs in Mogadishu in 2011 when Turkey came Somalia and took a lion\u2019s in responding the humanitarian situation in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Oruc\u00a0 stated that they are going to open Zamzam University Branch in Baidoa soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Olgan Beker congratulated the students on their graduation day, saying he knew when these students were starting their study from the university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSomalia has large area of farming land and I think if Somalia benefits from its resources, it could feed the horn of Africa,\u00a0 and we will support you\u201d, Mr. Beker added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Minister of the Somali Ministry of Education and Higher Studies, H.E.
