{"id":15080,"date":"2024-10-20T22:28:25","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T22:28:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=15080"},"modified":"2024-10-21T14:31:15","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T14:31:15","slug":"somalia-receives-3000-tons-of-aid-from-turkiye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2024\/10\/20\/somalia-receives-3000-tons-of-aid-from-turkiye\/","title":{"rendered":"Somalia receives 3,000 tons of aid from T\u00fcrkiye"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOGADISHU &#8212;\u00a0<\/strong>A Turkish ship carrying humanitarian aid for Somalia docked Saturday at the Mogadishu&#8217;s seaport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ship of Goodness, carrying 3,000 tons of aid, sailed Sept, 29 from Mersin in the southern province of T\u00fcrkiye and was received by senior government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama alongside Disaster Management Chairman Mahamuud Moallim Abdulle at a ceremony at the port.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkish Ambassador to Somalia Alper Aktas and representatives from humanitarian aid agencies from T\u00fcrkiye were also present.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe assistance comprises a diverse range of food items, tents, and essential life necessities, amounting to a total of 3,000 tons. This support aims to significantly improve the living conditions of those in need,\u201d the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAs always, T\u00fcrkiye will continue to extend its helping hand to the brotherly Somali people.
