{"id":14897,"date":"2024-09-09T22:08:51","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T22:08:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=14897"},"modified":"2024-09-10T09:53:53","modified_gmt":"2024-09-10T09:53:53","slug":"qc-inaugurates-school-delivers-supplies-in-somalia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2024\/09\/09\/qc-inaugurates-school-delivers-supplies-in-somalia\/","title":{"rendered":"QC inaugurates school, delivers supplies in Somalia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BAIDOA &#8212;<\/strong> Qatar Charity (QC), with the support of philanthropists in Qatar, inaugurated the \u2018Aisha bint Jassim Al-Muftah\u2019 school in the Bay Region of Somalia\u2019s South-West State.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It also provided 1,800 students, including many orphans and children from underprivileged families with school bags and supplies, for the beginning of the 2024-25 academic year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project is part of QC\u2019s efforts in Somalia to expand educational opportunities, create a conducive learning environment, and pave the way for a brighter future for Somali children. The newly inaugurated school can accommodate 200 male and female students. The school\u2019s opening coincides with QC\u2019s recently launched campaign \u201cPrioritising their Education\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The school\u2019s inauguration ceremony was attended by several Somali officials, including Abdifatah Sheikh Issack, Deputy Minister of Education of South-West State of Somalia; Bare Aden, Deputy of Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of South-West State of Somalia; Adam Hassan, Deputy Governor of the Bay Region, and Abdifatah Adam Mo\u2019allim, director of QC\u2019s Office in Somalia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his speech at the ceremony, Issack, said: &#8220;Qatar Charity sets a commendable example in supporting education through its pioneering efforts in constructing and developing schools and providing essential support to students.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hassan praised the contributions of donors and QC across various humanitarian sectors. &#8220;Qatar Charity significantly improves the lives of Bay Region residents through its diverse projects, and we are grateful for this collaboration that enhances the quality of life for our citizens.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adam said: &#8220;We believe that investing in education is the key to a better future.
