MOGADISHU —<\/strong> A suicide bombing took place in Mogadishu shortly before the evening prayer, which caused casualties including death and injuries.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the explosion took place in an area known as Al-Naciim located in Dharkenley district of Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses say that a person riding a motorcycle rigged with explosives and traveling at high speed blew himself up in a place where government soldiers and civilians were gathered.<\/p>\n

At least six people, including several soldiers, are reported to have been killed in the attack, with others sustaining injuries and being rushed to nearby hospitals.<\/p>\n

Government security forces arrived at the scene following the explosion, where they cordoned off the area and launched investigations.<\/p>\n

The Somali government security agencies have not yet commented on the incident, and there have been no claims of responsibility. However, such attacks, typically attributed to the militant group Al-Shabaab, have targeted government troops in the past.<\/p>\n
