{"id":1409,"date":"2018-07-03T06:21:35","date_gmt":"2018-07-03T06:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=1409"},"modified":"2018-07-03T06:52:44","modified_gmt":"2018-07-03T06:52:44","slug":"saudi-arabia-lifts-ban-on-livestock-export-from-somalia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2018\/07\/03\/saudi-arabia-lifts-ban-on-livestock-export-from-somalia\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia lifts ban on livestock export from Somalia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOGADISHU\u00a0(SOHA) &#8211;<\/strong> Saudi Arabia has lifted a ban on livestock imports from Somalia, paving the way for export of livestock to the Middle East nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saudi Arabia, formerly the biggest buyer of Somali livestock, lifted the two-year ban this week to secure meat supplies from Somalia, according to Somali ministry for Livestock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saudi Arabia imports 80% of Somalia\u2019s livestock, which sail from the ports of Berbera, Bosaso, Mogadishu and other towns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sheikh Nur Mohamed Hassan, Minister Livestock who spoke to media on Monday said the\u00a0livestock trade will officially be back in business as Saudi Arabia lifted the ban imposed on livestock from Somalia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cOur livestock trade with Saudi Arabia will be resumed soon.
