MOGADISHU —<\/strong> A father in northern Galkayo was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly murdered his two teenage children.<\/p>\n

The two kids, aged 12 and 13, were killed in the home they shared with their father in the Falluja neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Neighbours were alerted to the death after smelling the decomposing bodies and forcing their way into the home.<\/p>\n

Galkayo’s mayor, Mohamud Abdizur Adan, confirmed that the father was taken into custody and charged with murder.<\/p>\n

Adan said that investigators believe that the father was a drug user.<\/p>\n
